In less than a week ...

It's hard to believe the trip is less than a week away.  After a semester of preparation, the team is nearing its departure for Europe.  In just five days, we will all meet in Indianapolis to board our flight to JFK, and then we're off to Rome!

But the actual adventure to Europe isn't the beginning of this trip.  This field study is supplemented by an international business course that all participating students had to attend.  This course was instructed by Dr. Davis and Dr. Hartleroad (the advisors for the abroad trip) and met twice a month.  During the course, we developed research reports and presentations over business, government, and travel in Europe.  The class also focused on studying the set up of the European Union, as well as the "Ugly American" phenomenon.

The trip will take us to three different cities in three different countries: Rome, London, and Paris (in that order).  In these cities, we will have the opportunity to visit major companies, giving us an idea of what business is like on another continent.  We will also have guided tours (conducted by our travel agency) through each city, as well as free time that will allow all of us to explore the countries ourselves.

Some students are taking this free time opportunity to travel further into Europe, while others are planning on sticking around the major cities and seeing the sites.  To get a better idea of what/when we will be seeing, check out the Itinerary tab on the top of the page.

Overall, this trip is going to be an incredible experience for everyone attending.  Even though it is finals time, all of us are bouncing with excitement and packing our things for an awesome time in Europe!
